Farm Equipment
Farm Equipment has evolved tremendously over the last 100 years. No longer is machinery pulled by horse or mule. Some equipment has just as much if not more technology than the cars an average person drives.
Growing up on a farm, I have seen this change for myself. Only 10 years ago, the machinery my father owned was all manual transmission. These days, the equipment has an automatic transmission, making it easy enough for my 10 year old brother to operate (with parental supervision, of course). Farmers are also able to install GPS in their machinery to make farming more effective and efficient. GPS also aids in measuring fields and irrigation. Cell phones and computers have also helped make farming easier. Projects that used to take multiple days can now be completed in a matter of hours. The farm of the future will be a lot less work than the farm of the past with these new technologies.
